Mini Synopsis: Lightman and Torres interrogate an imprisoned gang leader who claims to be rehabilitated. If the gang leader is freed, he might help fight inner-city violence or return to his life of crime. Foster and Loker investigate the death of a firefighter who was killed in the line of duty.

The slain police officer's wife was caught lying to the parole board, when she said that she forgave the gang leader and he should be released from prison. After a conference, Dr. Lightman's group decided the widow must have been threatened by the gang. They decided to recommend that the gang-banger be released and the police keep an eye on him for his own protection. They also suggested that the widow have some protection. The widow went to the gang-banger's home & tried to kill him. The gang banger walked up and told her to do what she had to do. He hugged her and she wept in his arms. Did the team have correct readings, yes. Did the team understand the readings-no.
