Does Tim Roth have Parkinson's disease? His body movements this season seem vagueley reminiscent of my father's and Michael J. Fox in the years before he said he had the disease. 21  out of 27 found this valuable. Do you?

I've noticed the same and cannot confirm anywhere that it is true... but in some episodes it appears worse than others. Wish there was some media information to confirm - hope the best for him if this is the case. 5  out of 8 found this valuable. Do you?

I'm glad you posted this....I've been watching Lie to Me and thought maybe he was drunk or on some kind of drugs. There is definitely something going on with him that is not "just a part of the character".... 5  out of 5 found this valuable. Do you?

sure looks like Parkinson's. Can't find it anywhere online, though. Just looks like a few people I've known with the disease 7  out of 9 found this valuable. Do you?

I thought so also..... about the last month or so I noticed it.....its not a drunk.....he is always in motion.....I have a couple of customers that also do the same thing.....one has Parkinson's and the other has Supranuclear Palsy .....they almost look and act the same. Not many people know about Supranuclear Palsy though.....I guess alot of people get misdiagnosed.

parkinson's diseased person have serious motor impairments which actually makes them slow in executing their motor functions and cal doesnt seems to be affected as his motions are quite energetic and fast..moreover these people also show verbal and mental impairments but cal doent seems to even hide them so its clear he doesnt have. and his body posture and expressions reflect the sense of superiority and experience he had gained in show life as cal.

Yes that is true, however with medication, their movements are more like what you see. If you saw a person without medication, then it would be more obvious. My father, grandfather and great grandmother all had Parkinson's Disease and when I saw him I worried that this is the case. I wish him all the best.

I am so glad the show decided not to add the Melissa George, she looks like very "unwelcoming" in the show......not her type of role. And the teenage daughter needs to be replaced....annoying character!!!!!! 1  out of 11 found this valuable. Do you?

I've noticed for sure that he walks around like Quasimoto, and have made fun of his goofy hunch, spasms and twitches. But now that you mention Parkinson's it DOES look like MJF trying to control it. 1  out of 1 found this valuable. Do you?

"He is an ACTOR!!!!!!!!!!!!"
if you go back to the first season, he is not in motion or making any movements like in the later season 2 episodes. Plus, I can't seem to find a recent interview on line...like from the last 6 months or so. If he was acting, then why is the show ended after only a few episodes in this final season...they aren't even trying to fade out his character...it was simply not continued.

I just started looking at the big box of Lie to me, season 2, Have seen the programs for the first time and got really nervous about looking at Tim Roth beacause of all moving from him. Like Michael J. Fox in Spin City, who has come out with Parkinson, written books about it and created a Parkinson foundation. I had never heard about Supranuclear Palsy so it´s very good thing to discuss these things online, thank you! Catarina (Sweden) 2  out of 2 found this valuable. Do you?

Last year I posted to 'Lie to Me Community Fox and they have since closed that thread. I believe something neurological is going on. His movements mimic Michael J Fox's before he admitted he had Parkinsons. His movements are jerky, his facial expressions show tics, and his gait (walk) has become unnatural. I hope he is ok, but to the trained eye, there has been a noticeable difference in him. 1  out of 1 found this valuable. Do you?

Hi all. It's not just this character. I first noticed this in the ghost movie he did with Jennifer Connelly, Dark Water. 2  out of 2 found this valuable. Do you?
